Lea Santee – The View

"The view in the mirror tells me what I have been through." Lea Santee open "The View" by looking back, and then the song turns outward, at everyone who always finds a reason to talk about you.

The verses name the feeling most of us know: "All this shit on the internet drives me insane, and I try to suck it up." Then the chorus stops trying to suck it up and turns into a group shout: "Shut up, let people be. Let's all shout „Shut up“, let people be who they wanna be." The second verse makes it personal with one of the best lines on the record: "Freckles and scars, they make us so unique."

Lea Santee is the project of songwriter Lea Stöger and producer Manuel Hosp. After a long break from releasing, the duo is back with new music, and "The View" came out on 2 October 2026. We added it to Lonely & Broke the same day.

That is why it is Song of the Day. A bright, catchy chorus with a message that is easy to shout along to, and a reminder that you shouldn't really care what people think.
