Plain White T's & LØLØ – Hey There Delilah (ft. LØLØ)

"When I listen to this song you wrote, you take my breath away." Twenty years after the original, Delilah finally writes back.

Plain White T's have reimagined "Hey There Delilah" as a duet with LØLØ. She sings Delilah's side of the long-distance story, so the song that was always a one-way letter now gets an answer. As Kerrang reported on the release day, 31 July 2026, the duet is a sequel told from Delilah's perspective, released 20 years after the original.

That is the reason it is Song of the Day. A love song almost everyone knows by heart, and the person it was written to finally gets her own verse. It does not replace the classic. It finishes the conversation.

We approved it and added it to Lonely & Broke on 6 October 2026. It fits the playlist's mood: honest, a little aching, and built on a lyric rather than a production trick.
