Why it's Song of the Day
"Baby please, come with me / I will lay you down slowly." MUANH opens "baby please" with the chorus, before a single verse has explained why. The verse fills in the picture: someone who keeps it cool and plays by the rules "while your legs they shiver", laughing it off after a week that has been far too rough. "It's taking you piece by piece / I see you burning out soon / so come on, let me help you breathe."
The answer is not advice, it is comfort: "Take the pressure off and let me shine above you / Let my love run deep." The bridge asks for honesty ("Hold on my dear / Let's be sincere / you need something real") and holds on to a little hope: "But no winter lasts forever / Soon enough you'll come to know / That it can change like the weather."
MUANH, the Hamburg-based project of Anna Anh Petry, wrote and produced the song, with additional production by Jona Raischl and Roberto Randazzo and mix and master by Matt Cahill. "baby please" came out on 2 October 2026, and the official visualizer, directed and edited by Andjani Autumn, is on MUANH's YouTube channel. We added it to Lonely & Broke on 4 October.
That is why it is Song of the Day. A gentle song that feels like being told you are allowed to rest.
